Expertise & FAQ

Answers to common questions about our metal fabrication services

Common Questions

What types of welding do you perform? +

We offer comprehensive welding services including MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), and stick welding (SMAW). Our MIG welders are versatile for structural work, while TIG provides precision for ornamental pieces. We also offer flux-cored arc welding for thick materials and outdoor applications.

Are your welders certified? +

Yes. Every structural welder on our team holds current American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Welder credentials. We maintain certifications for D1.1 structural steel, D1.3 sheet steel, and D1.6 stainless steel. We can provide certification documentation upon request.

What is your typical turnaround time? +

Turnaround varies by project scope. Small fabrication jobs (under 500 lbs) typically ship within 3-5 business days. Large structural projects require 2-4 weeks for fabrication. Rush options are available for time-sensitive projects for an additional fee.

Do you provide on-site welding services? +

Yes, we offer mobile welding services throughout New Jersey. Our service vehicles are fully equipped with generators, compressed gas, and tools to handle most field welding and fabrication needs. Travel fees may apply based on location.

What materials do you work with? +

We work with carbon steel (mild steel), stainless steel, aluminum, and specialty alloys. Our shop handles sheet metal (18-16 gauge) up to 1-inch plate. We source materials from certified mills and maintain inventory of common structural shapes.

Do you offer design assistance? +

Absolutely. Our team includes drafters who can convert your concepts into fabrication drawings. For structural work, we can collaborate with your engineer. Design assistance is quoted separately and ranges from simple sketches to detailed CAD drawings.

What areas do you serve? +

Based in Union City, NJ, we serve the entire tri-state area including New Jersey, New York City, and lower Hudson Valley. We also travel throughout the Northeast for larger projects. Contact us to discuss your location.

What is your payment structure? +

For new clients, we require 50% deposit to begin work, with the balance due before shipment. Established accounts may qualify for net-30 terms. We accept checks, ACH transfers, and major credit cards. Large structural projects may require milestone payments.
